Humans may be hard-wired to worry. Our awareness of danger has allowed us to survive and evolve. But there is a difference between normal concern and preparedness and the crazy-making worry about things we cannot control. Additionally, if our thoughts become things (as many believe), then it follows that scary thoughts may bring about the feared calamity.
If you find yourself tipping into that crazy-worry state of mind, bring yourself up short and deliberately change the scenario. Envision a large, clear bubble of protection around the person, place, or thing that causes concern and say: "My (family, home, car, workplace) is protected." Simply say or think the basic All is well, all will be well, all will always be well, and you have done all you can to dispel the negative and get back on track. Say: "Safe, secure, and solvent, Happy, healthy, and whole, My family is protected. All is well, life is good." |
