Spell: World Homeless Day

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

It’s World Homeless Day, a day dedicated to reducing homelessness around the world. Today, create a prayer candle for Saint Benedict Joseph Labre, the patron saint of people who are homeless. (After his request to be a monk was refused several times, he released most of his possessions and lived on the streets of Rome. After his death, many miracles were attributed to him.) Print out or create an image of him and paste it onto a jar candle. After lighting the candle, ground and center your energy. Call on Saint Benedict Joseph Labre, and ask for guidance on how you can best help those who are homeless in your area.

While the candle is still burning, research local charities and choose at least one small way to support one of them, perhaps by giving clothing, food, time, or money. Optionally, post your good deed on social media to inspire others to observe this day as well. Extinguish the candle.
