As we know, the new moon signals the beginning not only of the lunar cycle but of something in our lives. To help that something be born, we can plant seeds, either real or metaphorical. If metaphorical, what do you want to plant and grow? Write your wishes (“seeds”) on small pieces of paper and hide them along with a tiny crystal in a small biodegradable box or container. Hold your container in your receptive (non-dominant) hand as you cast your circle outside under the new moon, if you can do so in private and without the interference of neighbors.

Speak these words to the new moon:

Here I plant my seeds,
Here I plant my dreams,
Here I set my wishes.
Here I sprout new plans—
As I will it,
Let it grow.
I will see my seeds
Growing, growing, growing,
As the moonlight grows,
Budding, blooming, fruiting.
As I will it,
So let it be.
