Spell: Bounty of Fall Altar

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Fall is a time of quick changes and bright colors. In temperate zones, the temperature drops and witches know the harvest is almost complete. On this early fall day, it's time for deep engagement with the lively and colorful side of nature.

Go outside and collect elements of fall that call to you. Please take your time! These may be maple, elm, birch, hawthorn, oak, hickory, or hazel leaves. You may be drawn to pine cones, nuts, rose hips, fallen branches, gourds, or the last vestiges of life in the garden. Collect these items and take them inside.

Once you return indoors, arrange your items artfully on a table that has been set with a gold, yellow, or orange tablecloth. Put out a bowl of water as well. This will be inviting to the spirits, and many travel across water quite well. Sit down with your grimoire or journal and an ink pen. Take several deep cleansing breaths, and as you look at your fall altar, write down all the wisdom you hear, smell, and see. This is your time, and now you have brought the bounty of nature into your space.
