Spell: Aye, Captain

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

On this day in 1820, an eighty-ton sperm whale sank the Essex, a whaling ship from Nantucket, Massachusetts. This event was the inspiration for Herman Melville's famous fictional story Moby Dick. Nantucket is a beautiful, mystical, magical seaport. I once rode the ferry to Nantucket, and I'll never forget the experience. I clearly felt the energies of past lives upon me.

Are you the captain of your ship, or are you the crew? Do you command your voyage, or are you fighting fictional monsters that may thwart your success? Bring a spring upon 'er! Right your vessel so you may sail in the direction of your dreams.

For this spell you will need a bowl of water. Use your breath to blow upon the water, creating waves. When the water stills, say:
I am the wind, I am the captain of my
ship. I hold steady, I hold the course.
Though far away my sights may be, I
have the power to manifest my destiny!
