Spell: Full Moon Divination Incense

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

This is a smoke mixture to aid with full moon divination sessions. You will need:

  • 1 part juniper berries or eastern red cedar (Juniperus virginiana)
  • ½ part lavender flowers, dried
  • 1 part rosemary leaves, dried
  • Optional: 1 part sweetgum resin (Liquidambar styraciflua, often called storax or American storax)
  • Mortar and pestle
  • Matches or lighter
  • Incense charcoal and burner

Lightly crush all your incense ingredients together (doesn't need to be powdered) using a mortar and pestle. Before beginning your divination session (or before sleeping in the case of dreamwork), light the charcoal and add some of the incense mixture. Place your hands over your eyes and say these words:

From dark moon to light. My eyes closed are now open.

Remove your hands and divine. If you're using divinatory dreams, repeat the charm, let the incense burn briefly before extinguishing the charcoal, then go to sleep. You can store this incense mixture for future use
