Incense of the day: Neroli The end of the calendar year is a time of reflection, and a time to consider the future. We should take time to think about our friends and relations who make our lives richer by their presence. Make a list of old friends and new. Think about how they have affected your life during the past year. Roll the list up, and tie it with a purple ribbon. Light a purple candle, and rub it with oil of rosemary. Enchant the candle by saying: "As this year draws to an end, I have counted up each friend. I bless each one in memory, for they have shared their lives with me." Let the candle burn out by itself. Place the list in a safe place, and next year add the names of new friends you've met. Count yourself lucky in the richness of your friendships. |
