Color of the day: Pink
Incense of the day: Alder The second of the seven Elven feasts is Nost-na-Lothion, the Birth of Flowers festival, and it marks the beginning of the warm season, Lairë. In the Tië eldaliéva tradition, it is aligned with Vána the Ever-Young. Vána resonates with the new green plant growth and has dominion over flowers. Light a green candle, close your eyes, and meet the golden-haired Vána on the green hills of the beautiful hidden Elven city, Gondolin. As she walks, see the hills fill with flowers of all kinds. See the golden light of Anar, the Sun, showering the moist land in warmth; hear the chirping of the songbirds; and smell the collectively sweet floral aroma floating on a warm breeze. Vána invites you to plant your seeds of intention to grow amongst the flowers, and you carefully see yourself doing so. Once your seeds are planted, your heart is uplifted as you see the Elven city's residents begin to dance! You join in the revelry and thoroughly enjoy this invigorating season with the Quendi, the Elves. Come back to where you are and enjoy the season! |
