Sometimes we spend so much time sending energy to people who ask for some help that we may forget that, even though we may not be ill or have serious issues, we still need some for ourselves. In Reiki, we learn to lay hands on ourselves and draw universal energy down through our chakras to augment our personal energy. You can do the same kind of meditative practice on yourself. Sit in a comfortable place, lay your hands across your chest and concentrate on drawing energy from the elements down through your crown chakra to parts of your body that feel tired or stressed. You can also draw from the universal energies to help heal your heart or your soul. And, of course, there is always Deity to lend a helping hand. Remember to take time for yourself to allow healing for your own needs.
