On Mother's Day, there's so much pressure to love your mother, but that can be complicated. Maybe you never knew your mother, or you've lost her, or she was abusive or cold. Maybe you have more than one mother. Maybe you're a mother yourself.
Write a meditation, blessing yourself for the mother(s) you have or don't have and/or for the mother you are. Begin with the love of the Earth Mother, and simply tell the truth. It might say: "I am loved by the Earth Mother. I remember my mother with love." Or it might say: "I am loved by the Earth Mother. I feel that love when I remember neglect." Or: "I am loved by the Earth Mother. I feel that love when I wonder who my birth mother was." When you're ready, light a blue candle and recite your meditaiton. Feel loved. |
