This is an all-day meditation, or perhaps ritual, to promote mindfulness. It's a way to help you be more present in the moment.
You will need a white pillar candle dedicated to Kwan Yin. If possible, dress the candle with ylangylang or mimosa oil. When you arise in the morning, light the candle and sit quietly before it for a few minutes before going about the rest of your day. Your goal for the day is to stay present in what is happening within and around you as you go about your activities. If your mind starts to wander to your to-do lists, relationship worries, or plans for the weekend(you get the idea here), take a moment to ground and bring yourself back to the present. At the end of the day, spend a few more minutes in front of the candle, being thankful for all you noticed. |
