The final phase of the moon, just before the dark/new moon, is known as the balsamic moon. This is a time for rest and recuperation. It is also a good time for dreamwork.
A nice herbal blend for a prophetic dream pillow is to mix one part mugwort, one part mullein, and ½ part vetivert, sewn into a black pillowcase. You can sleep on this not only to help encourage prophetic dreams but also to help ward off nightmares. If you wish, you can turn the herb blend into an oil by converting the parts into teaspoons and adding the herbs to ½ cup vegetable oil. Simmer in a pot over very low heat until you can smell the herbs in the air, then remove from heat and allow to cool. Once the oil is cooled, strain and bottle it for use. |
