Did you know that January 22 is Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day? We didn’t either until working on our spells for this year’s almanac. While we doubt it’s possible to answer all of your cat’s questions, we thought it might be worth a try. (This is not limited to cats either. Dog owners are welcome.)

Start by invoking the goddess Bast into your space (or another deity of your choosing). After invoking Bast, sit next to your pet, or better yet, convince your pet to sit in your lap. Close your eyes and begin petting your animal, feeling their presence next to you. Now open to whatever feelings and energies are coming from your pet. Visualize these in your mind’s eye, and when you are done with the exercise (or your pet is), write them down. Use any insights you’ve gleaned to grow closer to your pet.
