Spell: Altar Renewal Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Spring cleaning is not just for our homes; it’s also something we should do periodically for our magickal altars. Start by taking everything off your altar and setting it in a safe space. Now dust off your altar and give it a thorough cleaning. As you wipe down your altar, do so with a counterclockwise motion. As you clean, say:

I renew this space so that it
might serve me magickally.
Dirt, dust, and negative
energy must now all flee.
Cleansed and renewed I
make this sacred space.
My magick will be forever
strong in this place.

As you place your magickal items back on the altar, dust and clean them all as necessary. Before putting each newly cleansed item on the altar, say “renewed” to signify that it’s been cleaned and made ready for another year of magick.
