Spell: Wash Your Goddess Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Purple
Incense of the day: Dill

The Greek festival of Kallyntaria and Plynteria lasted from May 19 through May 28. During this time, people took down the statues of gods and goddesses from their shrines and washed them in the river. Then they adorned the statues with finery and returned them to the shrines in a solemn procession. Now is a good time for spring cleaning. Pay special attention to your altar today. Wash the altar cloth, or dust the tabletop. Throw away any candle stubs or incense ash. Polish your candleholders, athame, chalice, and other tools. Clean divine icons. Then reset the altar, and set out a vase of fresh flowers to welcome the season's new life.
