LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Ask the Oracle

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Romans traditionally consulted the oracle at Fortuna's temple on this day. They drew slips of oakwood from a jar, and took the advice printed there to heart.
Today, consult your own oracle.
Whether it's a friend who reads tarot cards, a local psychic, or runes that you cast for yourself, readings can offer great insight through symbol and association.
Years ago, I saw a technique in a movie that I often use. Find a copy of your favorite book-literature is recommended. (In the movie it was a Charlotte Bronte novel, I think.) Hold the book in your hands while you formulate your question. Aloud, ask your question of the book, then open it. The answer to your question will appear on the page where you have opened. Allow your mind to stay open and the powers of association to work with the symbols you are given. Within these words lies the wisdom of the oracle.
