Today is Memorial Day in the United States, a time to remember those who fought and died while serving in the military. Today we can honor those who have passed on. You will need several flowers, either fresh, dried, artificial, or ones made from paper. (Check your local cemeteries' guidelines before leaving flowers.) You will also need a ribbon to tie your flowers together. You will use the flowers to create a tussiemussie, or small bouquet of flowers, to honor their memory. When you tie up the flowers, use a ribbon with a message on it to the one who has passed on. This will let them know they are gone but not forgotten. Place the tussie-mussie on their grave with a moment of silence, and know that your message has been communicated to the deceased. |
