Spell: Offering of Thanks

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

As the year winds to a close, leaving food offerings to the spirits who have helped you on your journey over the past twelve months is a wonderful way to end the season with gratitude, feeding your relationships with unseen allies. For a liquid offering, you might choose milk sweetened with honey; cider, beer, or wine; or a tea made from herbs that have special significance to you. For food, little cookies, cakes, or bread; fresh or dried fruit; or nuts and candies work well. If you have pets, you can leave the offerings in a closed room.

Before bed, arrange the offerings in a spot that feels meaningful to you, imbuing the food with the energy of love as you do so. Feel free to decorate the area with crystals and perhaps an LED candle or two. Write out a list, however short or long you'd like, of what you're grateful for. Read it aloud, envisioning love and gratitude beaming outward to your spirit allies. Then place the list next to the offering.
