Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Ivory
Incense of the day: Cinnamon

With so much celebration going on this month, our bodies need as much cleansing as our spirits do. While not everyone has access to a sauna or sweat lodge, a body scrub and warm (or hot) bath can be a good second choice for relaxation and release of toxins from body and mind. Mix together 4 tablespoons sea salt, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and, if you like, an eighth of a teaspoon of eucalyptus or jasmine essential oil. Make this into a watery paste and scrub it over your body. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse off. Or better yet, add 1 cup of strong chamomile tea and 1 cup powdered milk to a warm bath and wash off your body scrub in that before taking a long, relaxing soak.
